Several months ago a kind man was generous enough to ask me to restore his 1905 GE Pancake Fan. This fan was semi-restored, but that unfortunately meant that most of my effort was spent un-restoring what had been previously performed.
In addition to the typical paint job, brass polishing, etc, this customer requested that the fan be re-wound and custom brass components be machined. Rather than explain the restoration, I've prepared the following photo journal to do the work for me. Please enjoy the many photos that follow.
