Eck Toilet Bowl Oscillator

October 4, 2014 Josh Backens

I acquired this fan at the Harrison fan workshop at Geoff Dunnaway’s in 2013. Geoff’s fan collection is amazing to say the least. I had a great time there looking at fans, meeting people, and making new friends. I mainly went there to finally meet Tim Marks in person, but ended up making several friends including Geoff, Larry Hancock, Rick Huckabee, Dan Wyatt, George Durbin, Jim Kovar, and Paul Graves.

Tim and I immediately became friends and have become closer over time. We teach each other pretty much everything we know about fan restorations, which is extensive. If you haven’t been to the Harrison meet, you should try to make it, you won’t be disappointed! As soon as I saw the Eck TB for sale, I knew I had to have it. Since it’s such a unique design, I decided to put a unique paint job on it as well! It is now in my game room being admired and cherished. I run it nearly daily, she just purrs. I do not regret painting it Lime Green Pearl. In fact, I like the color so much, I may do another one. Please enjoy the photos. Oh, and if you have some history on this fan, I would really appreciate you post in under “comments”. We know very little about this "emerald."

Thank you!
