For Sale: 1910 Hawthorn/Victor Vane Fan

May 21, 2014 Tim Marks

For Sale: 1910 16" Vane Oscillator Fan $OLD

Those of you who know me recognize that I rarely sell a fan from my collection. In fact, this beautiful 1910 vane fan represents the very first fully restored fan that I've ever sold. Being that I am now a father and life has become very busy, this may be your only chance to buy a fan featured on this website for a very long time.

This 16" century old vane fan makes for a stunning display. The triple-trademarked badge is a rare one indeed, with most examples being found without the "Victor." The pin stripes on this fan were meticulously placed and compliment the overall size and demeanor of this fan perfectly.

As smooth runner, this vane fan features the original windings and choke coil, cleaned and fully insulated with electrical varnish. The blades have been tirelessly balanced, both statically and dynamically. All brass featured on this fan is lacquered with two coats of specialty lacquer to ensure that it remains bright and mirror clear for decades to come. This fan will surely become an heirloom for centuries to come.

The paint consists of two stage automotive grade urethane with the final coats of clear having been sprayed on top of the stripes. It is glass smooth giving this vane fan the effect of having been dipped in glass.

The price above includes professional packaging and shipping as well as full insurance for the value of the fan. Please do not hesitate to Contact Me if you are interested in purchasing this fan. I'd be happy to discuss any details of its restoration.

I hope you enjoy the before and after photos shown below.
